In the 5th edition of the International Golden Brush Award 2015, directed to the selection of the best
international Masters in painting, sculpture, photography and poetry, will be present authorities on visual and non-visual arts, as Masters: Franco Fazzio, Stefania Zanutta, Giovanni Basso, Piero Leonardi, etc.
On the occasion of the Award, there will be an exhibition dedicated to Master Andrea Fortina from Novara, that, through his paintings, will make us absorbed in his delicate and touching artistic gallery.
This year the theme chosen to be represented is drinkable water and the preservation of it in the world, a really burning and highly topical issue. Therefore the event will be entirely dedicated to the theme of “WATER”, in its 
various facets and its different states, but the leading theme the Masters approached and brilliantly represented has its base in the respect towards environment and people. Thanks to the irreplaceable support of Mr Stefano Iorini, representative of Monviso Water, the official sponsor, to the moral and mediating support by Italian Commercial Chamber in Arabian Emirates, precisely Mr Piero Ricotti and Mr Mauro Marzocchi, we even have, as last year, the illustrious presence of Our Italian Consul in Arabian Emirates Mr Giovanni Favilli, who, in last edition, was the President of the jury of the Award itself.
The unquestioned aim of this important night, internationally recognized, is not only to award a prize to the best artistic work, in fact all the artists passed the tests of a careful and very strict double scientific Italian and Emirate committee, but also we will try to collect fund supporting people with serious problems of hydric resources.
The Sea Superintendency, based in Sicily, was happy to be involved in the event in a careful and active way. The 
Sea Superintendency at the moment is presenting the travelling exhibition focused on the Sicilian underwater cultural heritage, realized in cooperation with the Allard Pierson Museum of the University of Amsterdam (NL), an event that provides for the participation of international partners, selected among the best museums and prestigious cultural institutions well-known in Europe, such as: Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen, with the aim of giving value and promoting what at the moment has been found in Sicily. The experts related to the Award and the theme are coordinated by the Supervisor Mr Sebastiano Tusa, by the expert Giovanni Taormina, the contact point of LUM “University of Palermo” and by no-profit association “The New Dress” of President Cristiana Perrone, Prof. Renato Tomasino LUM, also coordinator, by the architect Stefano Zangara, speaker during the event for the Sea Superintendency: they will have the opportunity to show the principal phases of the finding of the 12 Rostra, protagonists of the epic historian event of the Egadi Battle “1st Punic War” of March, 10th 241 BC.
For the first time the public will be given an overall view determined by the intensity of cultural exchanges and by the
commercial traffics in The Mediterranean Sea with the Sicily protagonist; Mr Franco Fazzio and Mr Giovanni Taormina, representative of culture in the University Multimedia Laboratory, will show us the themes about the works of engineering the Arabian started to use in Sicily since 831 BC. The video will be projected for popular, didactic and awareness purposes during the yearly event Italian Festival Art in Dubai.
The Regional Sicilian Parliament “ARS” gave Its high honorary patronage to the project presented by the President Cristiana Perrone and by the coordinators, who will be ambassadors of the archeological underwater Sicilian culture and of the “Arabian Norman” art, just elected by Unesco a World Heritage of Humanity.
