We are in the middle of this exciting Arab Fashion Week in Dubai, and there is more to come! I picked out a few highlights.


Italian, Rome-based designer

Member of the Alta Roma. Showed her FW16 Ready-Couture collection at the Arab Fashion Week. Giada Curti Couture is sophisticated, 

extremely intriguing and romantic. The details make it a unique beauty. Purest essence of femininity. Elegant and chique gowns bows 

in the waist line, reflecting intricate techniques. Black lace, delicate silk and brocade were featured on shades of stunning emerald, coral, 

black and white. Each dress follows a precise plan and indulges a dream of inevitable poetry.


Lebanese Designer 

Mahfouz commenced his career with solely designing intricate and refined bridal gowns for the in vogue and graceful woman. 

Mahfouz was one of the first Lebanese designers to join Alta Roma, and continues to showcase his Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter 

Couture collections there. Due to his true compassion for the city of Rome, Abed Mahfouz showcased his Couture collections 

in some of the city’s marvelous landmarks – Villa Borghese, Arco Di Constantino and the Santo Spirito.The ready-to-wear collection 

was launched during New York Fashion Week, a thriving product that continues to receive international coverage and recognition.


Emirati Designer

UAE-based designer Hamda’s journey into the world of fashion wear is a journey of following one’s instinct, in answering one’s true 

calling in life. Born to Emirati parents in 1985 in the UAE, she grew up in the capital city of Abu Dhabi. She graduated from the 

College of Art and Science and embarked on her career as an interior designer. But her heart was marching to its own beat from a very 

young age.“My Designs Come From A Magical Place Where Everything Glitters And Sparkles.
