At Dubai fashion TV, we had the pleasure of interviewing and meeting Reem Acra by our fashion Director Graziella Ferrero, during Yas Mall Fashion Week.
The Bridal Guru, Reem Acra is a Fashion designer born in Beirut, Lebanon she’s known for her outstanding bridal designs. In 1986, she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and won the Fashion Design Department’s award for her year. After graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology, Acra studied at the École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode (ESMOD) design school in Paris.
Acra started her company in 1997 as a bridal line, after designing a dress for a friend’s wedding in three weeks, on a bet that if she could meet the deadline, her friend, would go through with the wedding it was set in Paris. Acra took a photograph of the dress and distributed it to the media, including The New York Times, which published the photograph. She held her first fashion show in 1999.
When it comes to glamour and glitz no one does it like Reem Acra , she’s always supporting woman and igniting the femininity side of her, and understanding what woman feels and need. Her fashion shows have been nothing than more huge success, a lot of celebrities mark her as their favorite designer, her since of luxury and understanding what looks and feels beautiful made her what she’s is today, one of the best designers in the world. Reem Acra’s Bridal Spring 2018 Collection is a perfect representation of what she does so well.
