This Saturday, May 5th, CHANEL invited five hundred students to discover its new 2018/19 Cruise collection under the nave of the Grand Palais. Set within the décor of the runway show, presented to the press two days earlier, this visit gave them a chance to experience the magic of a collection in all its detail up close, and to step through the most secretive of backstage doors.
During this in vivo fashion lesson, a masterclass with Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Fashion at CHANEL, hosted by French journalist Elisabeth Quin, dealt with the themes of creation, the creative dialogue between Karl Lagerfeld, his studio, the CHANEL ateliers and the artisans at the Maisons d’art, and his vision of creativity as well as product creation.
“This first experiment is part of CHANEL’s desire to hand its values and its passion down to the talented young people of fashion’s future, in the creative domain as much as management, finance, marketing, business, digital and new technologies,” said Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Fashion at CHANEL.
