The newly crowned Miss Universe Bahrain Evlin Abdullah-Khalifa participated in the World Cleanup Day activity on 17 September 2022 at Al Najma Beach in Juffair, Manama. The cleanup initiative in beaches in the Kingdom was organized by Clean-up Bahrain. The campaign sought to raise awareness in the Kingdom on the reduction of waste in beaches in Bahrain.A total of more than a thousand volunteers from different sectors collected 5,457 kilos of plastic and other waste materials.The cleanup campaign was under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaik Hisam bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.“I am very passionate about these causes, especially those that affect my community directly. Cleaning the beaches in Bahrain is another step for us Bahraini to protect our nature as well as the health of our people. We must always think about the welfare of ourselves and other people when using public spaces such as the beach as it is our pride and honour.
